...hand, foot, and mouth.
Do you know what's tomorrow? The last class. No really, this time IS the last one.
If I'm still doing this job next semester (odds look decent) I need a longer list of college-aged emergency babysitters.*
* If you know where I teach, you know why My Former Students are right out. But Dr. S can usually round up some nice sorority girls for me.
Argh. I've skipped several of my language classes this year because either I was sick, or SB was sick, or H was sick - and in both of the latter cases he didn't feel up to caring for her. Le sigh. But I'm just the student in those classes, so it's not as bad. Hope you can make it work.
ReplyDeleteFortunately a friend stepped in. I paid her handsomely ($50 for 2.5 hrs!) and we called it a day. (She actually tried to give some of the money back and I told her that's what last minute babysitting rescue was worth to me!)
DeleteUgh. When my son got HFM, I caught it also (even though you're not meant to as an adult), and it was horrible. And my hub was out of town. And I'm teaching. I feel you.
