Last week, I gave a quiz which I had not taken; there were two questions I couldn't answer, and a flurry of panicked emails.
Today I apologized to my class for the error and let almost everyone have a free 100.
You never get too old to make really dumb mistakes, it seems.
The important thing is that you admitted you were wrong and fixed it. That's what the students will remember, if they remember it at all.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I loved learning that my professors were human and made mistakes. It made me like them better.
