Bug has been throwing up every Friday (once, Saturday night, in the middle of a crowded Target!). It's almost certainly viruses from school. Anyhow. This weekend he spent two hours in the middle of the night throwing up on everything in his room: crib, rug, bumper, blanket, pajamas (three times)... you get the idea. However, the crucial point is that the crib was bumperless, so he could not snuggle his little noggin into the corner as usual.
And so, at two in the morning, he finally agreed to sleep in a big boy bed. (He even got up and threw up again, neatly, in the toilet.) The next night he slept in it again.
I think I'll hide the crib bumper.
Ouch - fun times! At least he's sleeping in the big-boy bed :)
ReplyDeleteLemons, lemonade, etc.
DeleteWay to find the silver lining! Poor little sick kid, and poor parents dealing with vomitous mess in the middle of the night. Definitely hide the crib bumper.
ReplyDeleteI took apart the crib tonight and put it in the basement. All. Gone.
DeleteAnd if the AAP told people that story, maybe they'd get their wish and people wouldn't use them. (not that we didn't, because a baby screaming every time he gets his arms stuck sucks, especially at 1, 3, 4, and 5 am.).
ReplyDeleteSorry about all the puke. Gah.
Tout au contraire! Without the bumper I'd have no lever to get him out of the crib!
Delete(He obviously didn't suffocate on it.)
